We are currently seeking qualified candidates for the position of: Technical Officer, Nutrition Description: FHI 360 is seeking 1 candidate for the position of Nutrition Technical Officer for EpiC MNCH, a project to be implemented in Zambezia and Nampula provinces, focused on improving the quality of nutrition, neonatal, maternal, and child health outcomes and immunization, and working with government partners to institutionalize a culture of quality improvement. Under the supervision of the Senior Nutrition Technical Officer, the Technical Officer will be responsible for planning and implementing nutrition activities in health facilities and the community; providing technical implementation and training support to the government and other partners for professional training, guidance, and supervisory support activities; and monitoring the quality of training and care delivery initiatives in the area of nutrition. The position will be based in   Zambezia. Accountabilities: Support the Senior Nutrition Technical Officer in ensuring the quality, consistency, and effectiveness of nutrition services delivered at health facility and community levels, with a focus on priority nutrition interventions (PIN), in close collaboration with the Community Nutrition Officer (s). Provide hands-on technical support to health facilities and community platforms to strengthen the implementation of maternal nutrition, infant and young child feeding (IYCF), management of acute malnutrition, and other priority nutrition services, working jointly with the Community Nutrition Officer(s) to ensure effective community-based service delivery. Support the planning, delivery, and follow-up of nutrition trainings, mentoring, and supportive supervision for district, facility, and community-based service providers, in coordination with the Community Nutrition Officer(s) for community-level activities. Contribute to strengthening supervision and guidance systems to improve adherence to national nutrition standards, guidelines, and protocols across both facility- and community-based services. Support the application of quality improvement approaches within nutrition service delivery, under the guidance of senior technical staff, including community-based nutrition platforms implemented with the Community Nutrition Officer(s). Ensure that all activities are implemented in compliance with MISAU standards and approved standard operating procedures. Collaborate closely with project technical staff and the Community Nutrition Officer (s) to plan and implement service-strengthening activities, ensuring coordination with and engagement of provincial and district government counterparts. Represent the project in provincial-level technical working groups on nutrition, as delegated, in the absence of the Senior Nutrition Officer, including discussions related to community nutrition where relevant. Support the collection, consolidation, analysis, and use of routine monitoring data for nutrition and community-based care indicators, in collaboration with the Community Nutrition Officer(s). Support health facilities and community teams in planning and implementing mobile brigades with integrated nutrition services, ensuring regular and effective delivery in coordination with the Community Nutrition Officer.
