Employee Contract Type: Local - Fixed Term Employee (Fixed Term) Job Description: Programme Implementation and Monitoring: Ensure timely delivery of assigned implementation tasks, including capacity building, training, and coaching of community partners and Child Protection (CP) structures. Prior to implementation, guarantee that all required materials and tools are adequately prepared, technically sound, contextually relevant, and user-friendly. During emergency responses, provide technical oversight and guidance to ensure activities are implemented in compliance with recognized humanitarian and child protection standards, including SPHERE Standards, Inter-Agency Guidelines for Case Management, and the Minimum Standards for Child Protection in Humanitarian Action. Conduct regular (monthly) field monitoring visits to assess quality, adherence to standards, and effectiveness of interventions. Respond proactively to concerns raised by CP Committees and volunteers by providing targeted technical support and mentorship. Undertake routine beneficiary monitoring to evaluate knowledge retention, behavioral uptake, and utilization of key protection messages and services. Prepare and submit analytical monitoring reports to the Protection Manager, identifying strengths, gaps, and performance trends among community partners, and collaboratively develop corrective action and quality improvement plans. Develop, document and deliver training packages and capacity-building processes on Protection from Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (PSEA), GBV prevention and response, protection mainstreaming and transformative programming approaches. Design, implement and evaluate gender-responsive and protection-focused programming in emergency and disaster-related contexts, ensuring alignment with humanitarian standards and safeguarding principles. Strengthen and monitor functional referral pathways for protection and child protection services, ensuring coordination with key stakeholders, including the Police and the Office for Women and Children Victims of Violence, to guarantee timely and survivor-centred support. Capacity Building: Conduct comprehensive technical capacity assessments of community partners to identify strengths, gaps, and priority development areas against defined child protection competencies and standards. Based on findings, develop tailored capacity strengthening plans for each partner, incorporating a mix of methodologies such as structured training, coaching, mentorship, guided reading, and on-the-job learning. Deliver targeted capacity building interventions to ensure community partner staff possess the requisite technical knowledge and skills to implement quality child protection programming. Systematically assess the competencies of Child Protection (CP) Volunteers and Case Workers against established role-specific standards, and design and implement structured development plans to address identified gaps, ensuring they meet minimum technical and ethical requirements for effective service delivery. Representation and Local Advocacy: Represent the District Programme on Child Protection matters in relevant coordination and stakeholder platforms, ensuring alignment with organizational priorities and technical standards. Proactively initiate and sustain strategic dialogue with key stakeholders including government authorities, NGOs, civil society actors, and private sector entities to enhance collaboration, resource mobilization, and project effectiveness.
